When I was a kid, a local drug store had a display full of little aerosol cans of cheap perfume. All of the cans said something like, "If you like Giorgio, try ___ (whatever name this generic smell had been given). For some reason that display always fascinated me.

After a three or four month hiatus from posting (and basically from writing), I'm jumping back into it with a splash of color on my journal and lots of ideas in my head. After my monsterous, complaint filled post the other day, I stepped back a bit and calmed down.  :)  The fact that I got today off because of weather helped...not that I've done any writing today.  I've been cleaning instead.  Anyway, on Sunday night, I noticed that NBC was airing a made for tv movie version of Raymond Khoury's The Last Templar. Last year I picked three favorite books from my year's book log.  I believe I'll make that a tradition.  I do have to say, though, this year didn't have standouts like last year when Widow of the South skyrocketed into my top five favorite books of all time and Natural Born Charmer became my favorite romance novel ever.  I didn't get that "I'm in ( Read more... )
