Oh, the way the fic and the vid play off each other and intertwine just slays me. I love how both pieces play the contrasts, finding links and differences between the ocean and the desert, showing the despair and the hope and the determination.

This is an amazing collaboration. I'm left with a double image: the two whales, side by side, and this: And when Rodney drifts off, John makes himself stay awake, watching him grow a minute older, and a minute after that, and a minute after that, so that he doesn't miss any of it.

Oh, I'm so, so pleased you think so--thank you so much!! One of the things I love about lim's vid was how well she used the colors-that contrast was part of my original idea for how to structure the fic, but it's realized so much more effectively visually, I think!
