Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder. Our meat for today was delicious homemade meatballs. We now have to have some pasta and sauce for dinner this week :)

Yes the season is definitely here for hearty comfort food.

I am really enjoying this blustery weather. The heat in our building just came on for the first time since summer.

I love the windyness as well. A coworker brought in some food that tasted really good and so I've been googling for recipes. There are variations and although most are simply with vegetables, it can be made with beef or chicken also.

It's perfect for our Seattle winters... hearty and very comforting: african peanut stew (in googling,I haven't decided on a variation yet, but want to try it in the next month or so).

I just cooked a roast myself last night with mashed red potatoes and garlic & green beans.
