dude, if it was an interview, I'd understand. But I'm sure yer boss would understand when asked "Why are you late?" simply saying "I had to take my friend to the hospital, and make sure she was alright." The thing about hospitals, is you don't go there unless you HAVE to, for a SERIOUS illness. As such, Boss no likely care unless they beith a heartless s.o.b.
