To consolidate my fannish presence, to the extent that one can when one has been putting it off for the better part of a decade and every username has been claimed, I've renamed all of my accounts with a variable number of Ns at the end. At heart they're all permutations of Aru, because after being praised, screamed at, begged and wheedled by that

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you posted this. You changed your LJ name when I was buried deep in bar review hell, and I missed the post entirely - and today I'm all "who the hell is aruan, how did she end up on my friendslist, and why does she seem so familiar?!"

I knooooow. I didn't want to become That Guy, but my old fannish name was out of use anyhow, and it just became as exhausting for me to say as it was for people to understand. Need to link this post on my profile page, methinks.
