I got 99 problems with the new season of Sherlock, but character motivation ain't one

I'd like to respond to marsdaydream@Tumblr's list of the bitterest pills we were expected to swallow in season 3, especially His Last Vow which contained, for me, the most consistent characterization of them all.

I love your analysis of the Sherlock characters' motivations in His Last Vow. They seemed to all be very much in character as they dealt with the shit that Life has thrown at them. XD

For John, I think that Sherlock has proven that John just doesn't know what he needs to live a fulfilled life.

Are you considering any speculations that Mycroft engineered the ending to get Sherlock out of the suicide mission. XD
