Friday Doodle Club

Just because I haven't posted anything for a few days. XD Successful FDC doodle -- yay! I consider just doing a doodle on a Friday and get it to semi-presentable stage a success. ^_^   Not bad with this arthritis-like pain in my right hand from too much rough yard work this week (pruning rose canes and trees, weeding, etc.).

The paper cut style is really interesting, and I love the background--both the colors and that it mirrors the butterfly in front of her.

Thank you! I've always liked the kiri-e style, but never actually learned to do it. After drawing this though, I definitely want to get into it. ^_^

I'm generally not a fan of butterflies, but you've just convinced me to like them - I love the effects of the various shades of colour in the background :)

p.s. Love how the hair was drawn, each strand seems so natural and flowing in the breeze..

p.p.s. Love the bracelet - is it a little bell dangling off it?

Thank you! Yep, her bracelet has two little bells that dangle from it. It is a little detail that the anime character has. ^_^ (I'm a detail freak by nature...lol)
