It's my fault for asking them to bake me a cake for my b-day...

Mr. AD and AD Jr. are making a German Chocolate Cake for me on my birthday. Sounds good, huh?

Cake baking fiasco... )

cake, birthday, fiasco

Next time, simply ask for a cake straight from the bakery. :D

That would be much safer.

Happy Birthday!

I commend them on their bravery, persistence and success (eventually) in making the cake. It's so sweet that they didn't give up after the first try X) Aww, didn't it make you feel all fuzzy wuzzy that they did all that for your birthday?

I'm like Bardroy in that everything I touch in the kitchen eventually end up blackened and unrecognisable... a cheer for all those that cannot bake and who contribute to the revenues of bakeries :)

p.s. your entry has just left me craving for cake :'(

You're right. Some of us have got to keep the bakeries in business. XD

Awww, so sweet. I'm not into baking, mostly because it's not something I grew up with. Mr HG likes a bit of baking but I always find him so excruciatingly slow, even when he's simply making cookies from a a ready-made mix XD

I'm glad it worked out in the end, though.

It was funny, even though they got upset at the first batch. And this will be remembered for the rest of my life. XD

Awww, poor things. But they got there in the end and that's what they should remember ^^
