What I find ironic here is, surely bythe time it's chilly it's too late to start a new knitting project? But the need to have warm, cuddly things, yes. I am mightily fighting the need to go buy new slippers.

You can finish a hat in an evening and a scarf or cowl inside a week, so not really. A jumper (I just started one) might take until midwinter though, yeah :-)
