I just felt a few grey hairs hearing OK Computer being refered to as old.
I'm also sensitive and feel like pleasing others bad. It feels like so much of what makes you happy dpends on what other people decide on, many times simply on a whim. Just got to keep telling yourself "who cares what those dorks think?" They're no better than anybody else. That's what works for me, I hope it helps you, I just want you to feel better.
Oh, thanks, Ianbrill...I do feel better actually.Time makes things like that okay. But anyway, OK Computer isn't that old, you're right. I just meant that I wanted the new one, which I was looking for at Walmart. I don't know what your Walmart is like, but ours sucks when it comes to music selection. WHat do you think about Hail to the Thief/"there, there"?
I like "there there" and the other songs I've heard from Radiohead. I know everybody knows this, but they really do make some exciting music. I don't shop at Wal-Mart because of they way they treat their employees. There's a book called "Nickel and Dimed" by Barbra Erenreich that I lent to an employee at Wal-Mart (she's in the jewelry section). When she told me she couldn't afford to go to a dentist for a pain in her jaw because she would lose pay (instead of, oh I don't know, being on the company's health insurance) a part of me died inside.
