Rant preparation!I have a great session with my therapist about my relationship with my mum. I've learned what our problems are! She's emotionally repressed and it all comes out in OCD around "seeing practical results" : my Weight, my behaviour, my mood, money etc. me. me. me. She can't let go of her baby. I'm 27

Anybob, I think that half the problem is what's going on between you and your mum. If only she'd reach out to you; if only she'd try and mend what's been so strained, then so much of the pressure would be lifted off your shoulders.
If she'd try to really be there for you, then you wouldn't have to rely on your strength alone.
It saddens me to hear about stuff like this. See, I've always had a great relationship with my dad - the kind where I could tell him anything, if I wanted. Nothing is more important, IMO, than having at least ONE parent by your side. I'm fifteen, and I still think I need support from my parents. I'll always want them in my life, even when I'm thirty and more than capable of supporting myself.
Everyone needs someone to stand by them.
