*grins* Dude, I seriously am falling in love with this idea. Especially the way you worded the intent. ("All my relations" is a concept I've been working with a lot lately, through a variety of different paths...) Could I just interject the thought that this should, in its best form, include not just one's relationships with the other attendees but also with the Land itself and the inhabitants thereof (ie, the Fae as one example ( ... )

If you are looking at community I would say it needs to extend to more than just the ritual. Perhaps a gentle over flow to the land and the area? Something so that every one has a fell good just by being in the area?

I love the all my relations aspect too. Have you decided if there will be acknowledgement of the land in the start of the ritual? Also, I think a clear opening sound (chimes, whatev) and a clear ending sound (chimes, whatev) would be helpful.

I also think a communial potluck dinner that night would be helpful.

I'm not sure yet. arxacies March 19 2007, 17:11:00 UTC
The idea of a "this is our land blessing part" separate from the ritual I'm not sure I like.

I think that maybe in the introduction if we make it clear in the beginning that "all my relations" definitely includes the earth below us and the sky above us.

That, however, I'm flexible on.

I like your idea of "all our relations" including the land and sky and all.

*nods* It'll make the ritual a bit harder.. arxacies March 19 2007, 17:24:29 UTC
because it widens the focus, however, I think with the level of "oomph" we are looking at, I think we can easily hang.

I have the utmost confidence in my people.

You must let them go. :)

Plus we may be able to talk to the sweat people about incorporating this idea into the thresholds sweat.

directions, flows... gaelfling March 19 2007, 18:30:52 UTC
the question of direction is a valuable and viable one- I'm hoping to convince any Tuatha that can make it (myself included) that we can add our 'science' to the mix, though this will include extra-planar as well as extra-dimensional directionality to the 'flow'
what way do you wish it to be woven?
(up and out is a n^4n parabola for us >.@)
