needed a space to let things of my chest, might delete this post later
not here for a memento but real life rant, feel free to ignore this---

Haven't had the strength to get up in days but gradually getting back on my feet today. My dear childhood friend is celebrating her first child's first birthday and I know its not necessary but, I haven't gifted her or her child anything since the birth. She's a good friend, I wish to get a gift both of them could enjoy.

Completing the chores was one thing, it was late but my siblings and I finally got out of the house. There's this one particular shop I had in mind that was a bit of a hassle to go but not so far in distance. What I mean by hassle is that, the road to reach the place involves going through the center city. (numerous junctions, traffic lights and round abouts) Plus, it was rather late. It was rush hour but since its school holiday here, it wasn't pretty bad. Until...

As a yellow light slowly shifting to red, at a nth traffic light, there I slowed down and stopped. There was no other vehicle aligned with our car at the moment. My sister and I were joking about a bus in front of us crossing the junction stuck in the middle as the road was packed, that if its still there by the their light turning red, we wouldn't be able to get through. At this split second, by chance, (as any driver should do) I was checking the rear mirror. I saw a big suv at a fast speed---💥 took me a moment to realize, we were involved in a 7 car pile up accident.

How did we get here? How did I carefully stopped at a red light, with no surrounding vehicles at first, come to this?! I have a panic thing where my body would cramp when in shock and look like I'm awake but pretty much unconscious. This is mainly the reason why my mom doesn't allow me to be alone. Good thing my brother was there and he got out of the car quickly after we were hit. Besides the damages, fortunately there was zero injury. Only I heard the women in the car next to us screamed a bit as she hit her head on the steering wheel quite painfully.

After some time, I got out of the car. That's when I realize there was 7 cars involve and the whole 3 lanes were blocked. Still unclear of who hit who. Luckily, we were in the most front so our damages were the least. It was a pretty hard hit still. Most of the drivers were male around my brother's age, upset. There's this one man remaining in the driver's seat. I totally thought he was stuck and couldn't get out bur later learnt he was the cause. I'd say he's around 50's? No, he's not drunk. Was he on his phone? Unclear. What was certain, he had a bad day. Yes, he just had a bad day! Same goes for the rest of us.

Let me remind you among these 7 cars, he was the only senior, 2 female drivers including me and the rest are more or less 30's male. People were upset, shocked, confused and overwhelmed. When things cooled down, he stepped out of his vehicle... the only words that came out of his mouth was "Sorry". I don't know about the others but I saw remorse in him. If he could have it any other way, he would... was written all over his face. In life, things happen... regardless of you want/like it or not. We were all the chosen ones for that fate today.

What could've been done in a couple of hours turned into spending time at the police station filing a report. Mission aborted. I lost the mood for everything. Not only I missed Kyomo's space, I didn't remember about it at all until I got home to charge my phone and that suto was there with him? 😭 Despite all of this mishaps, I'm just glad my family and I are okay. There could be people out there who are having an even tougher time right now. Even my cat was being super noisy at the door as I reached home, unusual of her. She probably had sensed something. I am nothing but grateful despite the tests that was thrown upon us today and thankful to be safely home to my parents and my beloved saidaijin.
