Just got the call -- we are on for retrieval for Sunday.  There was a new doctor there this morning and he brought up a good point.  The follicles are what release estrogen.  As the leading ones get bigger some of the smaller ones may "die" thus they stop releasing estrogen resulting in a drop in estrogen level.  This apparently is what happened
