I was researching for a fic and looking through the official CSI website.

While reading Sara Sidle's character profile I noticed that it doesn't seem to mesh with what we know about her. The profile says she is "An only child of ex-hippies running a bed and breakfast." But don't I remember her saying she once found a bag of what she thought was ( Read more... )

Yeah, sometimes the profiles don't jive, sometimes they do. Sometimes the episodes contradict each other (like the way Papa Olaf is both Greg's maternal and paternal grandfather, and went to two different undergrad colleges, which is at least possible). Those profiles have been the same since at least before season 4, I know that.

It drives me nuts. There comes a point where you just have to make up your own backstory.

Does anyone remember if Sara said how old she was when her mom killed her dad?She didn't say, but I got the impression she was rather young. She talked about holding the social worker's hand the whole time, which sounds like something a younger child would do, say, under 10 years. Also, she mentioned the drawing the harpooned whale in 5th grade after reading Moby Dick, and how everyone thought it meant she was emotionally disturbed. That sounds to me like it happened post, hence all the people around her analyzing her ( ... )

Good, then I'm not just crazy.

And it is technically possible for Papa Olaf to be Greg's paternal AND maternal grandfather...

But seriously, they really need someone with OCD as bad as mine to be a fact checker for the show, and the website apparently. Of course, my obsessive attention to detail has been known to piss people off, so maybe that's not such a good idea.

Yeah, no kidding.

When Slaves of Las Vegas aired the other day Jon sprung from his chair as if it had been electrified and ran upstairs. He came down a minute later with an old copy of Maxim. He flung it on my lap opened to a page with that picture on it, and a short article about Malinda Clarke. I went to Maxim online and found three other pictures from the same photo shoot.

For once I was happy that my brothers have such an extensive visual aid collection for their masturbatory needs.

I was going to use this picture for a colourbar where the link says "If you click here I'll let you lick my boot" and have the link be to this site. but I got a bit distracted and made an icon instead.
