HA!

This pedal so rocks the Kasbah.

I was playing around with the delay feature and I got something that sounded exactly like the Shondells' version of Crimson and Clover, so I figured out that song. It wasn't till I was playing it that I realised how depressing the song really is. I turned up the gain and played it more like Joan Jett, but kept the echo on and it sounded really cool as long as I kept the volume down, otherwise it got a bit noisy.

I finally went back and got another cord. It's amazing how much difference and good guitar cord can make. This is the first one that I have actually bought; the other three were all stuff that came free with beginner's guitar kits. The great thing is it has a lifetime warrantee, so if it ever stops working they said I could bring it in and get a new one off the shelf. The tonal quality is even better.

The other day Amanda was here and I was playing V, and Jesse came over. He sat behind my drums and we played Smells like Teen Spirit. Amanda recognised it right away as the song from Moulin Rouge, even though she couldn't hear me singing over the drums and guitar. Just to let you know how loud we were actually playing, in order for me to even hear myself on the chorus I was practically screaming. I'm surprised my throat didn't start bleeding, it felt like it was. And I'm really surprised the family didn't open fire on us.

Amanda's jaw kinda dropped and she sat there with a manic grin on her face the whole time. After we were done with Teen Spirit Jesse said he was just going to play a beat and he wanted me to make something up to go with it, so we did that for an hour.

Afterward Amanda said how amazing it was to hear me play with drums. She had heard me play alone lots of times. I mean, spend enough time in my house, and you will hear me play V; I can't keep my hands off of her. But this would be the first time Amanda has heard me with a backbeat. It wasn't even that great, I know I'm good, but I'm far from phenomenal; I'm no Hendrix. And I only taught Jesse how to play the drums a few years ago; he has no musical training. Some people are just easily impressed.

Load up on guns, bring your friends
It's fun to lose, to pretend
She's over bored, and self assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my Libido

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my Libido

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it was hard to find
Oh well, whatever,
Nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino
A mosquito, my Libido

A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial
A denial
