I found the newsletter, and it actually says "watermelon daikon." No idea how the radicchio thing got into my head.

And lookit: this lady who apparently gets the same boxes actually knew what it was, knew what to do with it, and took a way better picture.

Next time I'll check with her before doing anything rash.
