I'll bet if he gets medical help, they're just going to find he doesn't have insurance and dump him back where they found him. Lovely system we have here.
Hey, I see that you're home. I'm home too. Let's hang out.
yeah totally fucked up. it's like they're less of a person because they don't have a home? you know the shitty part, what if he were a war vet or something, once had it all, then came back to this shit after fighting in 'nam. seriously.
Last year I saw a guy unconscious on the corner of a busy street with his bike on top of him. no one driving by stopped, or even slowed more than it took for them to turn the corner. I wouldn't be surprised if people had wandered past him as well, but there wasn't anyone walking by when I saw him. I checked on him, woke him up, and went to the store that was on the corner and asked them to get some help for him.
bottom line, people generally suck. They'd rather get where they're going than take 5 min to stop and check on a stranger.
Oh My God. That is really pathetic that people would walk past him. That poor man, well that is exactly why people walked past him-because he is a poor man. I have seen the same thing happen when I was working with Nicole on Brickell. I think that people just follow the crowd, even if it would be against their better judgement-this is sad but true.
