Something was wrong.
The walls, he saw, were different, and the bed was higher and grander than the one he was used to. At the same time he realized that this was not his room, a knot sunk into his stomach. Something was wrong, very wrong, and it wasn't just the fact that he didn't know where he was. He turned quickly--
--only to find the baffled face of Natalia Luzu Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, the poised princess of Kimlasca and not a person he should be in bed with.
His first instinct, unfortunately, was to scramble backwards, nearly falling off the bed--but no, there was that tugging sensation again. He realized, with growing horror, that some sort of horrible metal device was clasped firmly around his right wrist, and the same around Natalia's left. "How did...h-how did this happen?" he asked nervously, sounding (though he hated to admit it) much more distressed than she. Surreptitiously he edged as far away from her as their chain would allow, though their hands were still alarmingly close (he could nearly feel the warmth radiating from hers, and that disturbed him). "It seems so..."

She bit her lip and placed her free hand over her face, attempting to calm herself down once more. Being tied to Guy via steel shackles was one thing, having to deal with his shouting and having the normally composed swordsman to panicked was another.
Removing her hand, she sighed and glanced at him, clearly irritated. Normally, wouldn't she be the one stammering and distressed? But of course, Guy did have that condition of his. Having his hand so close to hers was something rare, but she did not entirely mind that, no she didn't mind at all, it was the fact that she couldn't change the distance to be any farther that bothered her.
