The Hobbit - a somewhat longer review

I was expecting tons of reaction posts when I came back from the cinema yesterday, but then tumblr was down and then it wasn't and there's still nothing. As I understand it the movie isn't even out yet in most places, so I should actually feel privileged to have seen it already (twice!).

So to add a bit of oil into the pan I'm just going to write

I saw at least three people go out of the cinema and not come back. No idea if it's because they just hated the look of it or because they got motion sick. I've gotten motion sick at some scenes (like the opening of Sunshine, I think? They had that tumble towards a space station as intro), but the Hobbit was fine.

I think too that we'll adjust. Best though to see it rested. I had quite a headache during/after the evening performance. The noon performance was fine though.
