Blimey! Thrilling indeed. Sounds like it's better now but cor. Did you have to follow some kinda tornado evacuation path or get into a storm cellar or something?

No, tornados in the city aren't quite as exciting as they are out on the prairie (all those buildings get in the way of serious wind). There were roofs taken off, trees taken down, basements flooded etc. We ended up not evacuating, because the weather on Friday was cool enough (only about 25C) for us to be OK without aircon. Round the corner they still had electricity, so we could get ice to keep food cool, pizza, etc.

Somehow I missed that it was that serious. I guess I'm ignoring reality and news too much! Glad you guys made it out and lived without electricity okay.

Well, it was mainly property damage and power outages -- we missed the former but got a day of the latter, hurumph. We did evacuate our dog :-)
