We went to the doctor today and I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Tim does not have stomach paralysis but apparently has a much more treatable type of hyper reflux. He needs a surgery that will tie his stomach partly around his esophagus. The bad news is that without insurance, they want $2500 up front or some kind of medical

That's just shts... either people have to be rich, beyond poor or else be semi-lucky and have semi-decent group insurance to get any kind of treatment in this country. Gah. Good luck!
