Haha...yeah I used to be the same way. I didn't find out till someone taught someone else on a community. So for public reference (where the #'s are replaced by appropriate HTML <'s and >'s, and "public reference" so you can't flame me as retarded for appearing to think you don't know HTML or what lj-cuts look like),

#lj-cut text="blah"#...#/lj-cut#

will display as

( blah )

but in blue, with "..." inside the cut.
