I am enjoying another round of Sartre, coming from Being and Nothingness. Oh, never underline book titles people, it is improper when you are not doing it on a typewriter. hmmm, On the Tram by that Prague guy.. Kafka?
As for the vignette/short story struggle, the piece is leaning toward vignette, only because there is basically no plot and focuses on one moment in time, however.. it is not an exact snap shot: the narrator stands on the platform, boards, the tram moves, stops, a girl approaches. ~_~ that could be a plot I guess... If it is the plot, it moves by pretty quickly, as plots do in short stories, QED.

I faintly remembered it from research in the 8th grade. While searching for some stuff I came across this, read it, didn't understand it, and moved on. ahh, what a fool I was.
