Why Do Liberals Bleed?

"Berkeley is a city of victims.  You try to understand the street people and the criminals and sit down and talk to them and then they hit you on the head and steal your purse.  The police come and then you refuse to press charges.  The criminals know this and prey on you."

a fine read, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I'd love to ask the author if they actually went and got a gun. The other thing I'd ask is would they be able to *use* it in a time of need. Sadly I don't think the author could.

Indeed. I shared this one with others...

And yes, I agree with you, the author would need to go out and practice with their purchase quite a bit before she was able to draw it on someone.

I was also thinking of the mental aspects of being able to pull the trigger. It's one thing to wake up from the daydream that the world is this happy go lucky place where guns are evil and assailants are victims too, another entirely to actually defend yourself with lethal force. owning/drawing out is one thing, but if you can't bring yourself to pull the trigger all you're really going to end up doing is giving the bad guy another weapon.

When it comes to it how many ppl can draw down when it comes to it?

Having worked a convenience store with out bullet proof glass for many moons I can say Id make the choice pretty easily. Them or me...gee lets think about this...them...

Good read

If she got a gun thats good. If she didnt because she cant get one or is putting it off then thats her fault.

But sooner or later anti gun people will get it that its the people that kill others with guns, not free floating guns with minds of their own like some weird miniature dalek. Again if you stand by their logic they should out law cars, booze and anything else that gets ppl killed because they abuse it.

But atleast some people are getting the hint. Cops are there to protect us, but in some situations 2 mins is forever, and those 2 mins can be the difference between going home or going out in a body bag.

I've always wanted to do this to a rabid anti-gunner who says the police and 911 are there, so we don't need guns...

"Ok. Tell ya what. I'll even be nice, and give you a 5 second warning. Now, I'm gonna take this baseball bat here...and I'm gonna beat the crap outta you with it. Let's see if the police get here in time to stop me before I kill you with it... Go ahead, you have 5 seconds...start dialing."

*grin*
