I'm starting to notice people turning on him a little bit. It actually surprises me. I really believed that people would hail him as Our Lord and Savior all the way through 2 terms.
I keep hearing people say that if he doesn't make the public option (I hate that name, by the way) happen, they will lose all respect for him. I don't want it to happen for many other reasons (including the fact that I work in a company that makes its living off dealing with Medicare billing. This has shown me (in case I was unsure) exactly how much our federal government does NOT need to be in charge of healthcare.
Although to be honest, the government already basically IS in charge of healthcare. One reason the current system is so screwed up is that commercial insurance companies are basing more and more of their billing and process on the Medicare regulations. Interesting how people never seem to be aware of that when they're claiming that private healthcare has failed us, isn't it?
