One can spend their whole life running from what they have become. Eventually, all find that you can only run so far before everything catches up with you. The pain can feed until a broken soul is bleeding, screaming for anyone else to come and release the shattered pieces. No matter how far gone, there is hope; there is a chance of rebirth. Everyone deserves the chance to fly; some just need another to spread their wings for them

Hands at his chest, and a rather surprising bump: Levi had not expected to find his friend so easily. There was wear on his face, his eyes red and tight, his cheeks sallow. Levi's hands ran hard and reassuring over his shoulders, holding him at arm's length and peering down to see him better.

"Did you hear? About Theodore?" His eyes traveled up and away as he allowed himself a bitter, unamused laugh.

"I didn't even know he was a wizard." His jaw clenched, he tugged at his hair with one hand, leaning against the brick, neither hearing nor seeing the passerbys.

"I just got here, and he was there: helped me move in, too. I mean, I haven't seen him in a couple days, but I assumed he worked, or went to school or something." He focused on Draco again, licking his lips, eyes intent and frustrated.

"What's going on? I don't understand anything here."

There was a blasted chill or maybe it was just Draco but Levi felt warm and it took all Draco’s will power not to snuggle into him. For one thing, he did not snuggle and for another thing, well, there were other reasons. He could not think of any now but he knew they existed

It was too loud, too crowded for the small voice and the emotion so heartfelt behind it. Levi sighed, frowning, and thought of Theo: someone he would have never considered helpless upon their first meeting, but Levi knew he was blind, and as unimportant and unseemly a thing as it was, it made Levi doubly worried for the boy

Draco nodded, understanding how difficult it was when dealing with all of this. They were all too young and should worry about foolish things - like where to go out on a Friday night and who was shagging whom. Not looking over your shoulder wondering when you were going to be the next target
