Pets mean as much to people as people do. Sometimes more.

I've actually given some thought to starting a pet-loss group here in town. There is a big pile of research about pet loss and its impact. Don't downplay those feelings of grief. Your loss is real, and it hurts a LOT. And there are plenty of people who know just how you feel.

Again, I'm so sorry about your loss. Time heals, but it hurts like hell til it does.

I am devestated on your behalf and so sorry for your loss dear.
After 11years I'm sure you have alot of wonderful memories...
Knowing you and M, I know Tramp was well loved and enjoyed a very full, rich loving life.

I hope so too. It's a nice picture anyways. I just can't get over how much of a loss I feel.

It takes time, unfortunately it takes a lot of time. It's amazing how we love our pets so unconditionally that I think it's harder at times to mourn the loss of a pet then an actual human. Anyway from one pet owner to another I feel for you, it's always hard and I always like to think where ever that little doggie Heaven is the squirrels run all over the place and they're not as fast, toilet bowls are always open and no one gets yelled at for digging those tasty treats out of the garbage. Oh yes, and when it rains it rains milkbones.
