Is it just me or is Twitter starting to reach critical mass?

I actually kind of like Twitter because I like brevity. Sometimes I don't have more than 140 characters of interesting writing in me. It also plays right into our highly social nature. Though it's not critical to our survival, we get comfort from passing bit of information back and forth

yes. twitter has a novelty effect that wears off pretty quickly. i joined about 8 months ago and used it for a couple of months. now that i've forgotten about it, everyone in the world is asking to follow me. i just don't have time to keep up with everyone's tweets. my facebook status works well for the whole "brevity update" thing.
