Celebrity Rehab rides again!

I feel like such scum when I watch it, but it's fascinating to me. Compared to being rich and famous, being normal seems relatively easy and enjoyable. This delights me almost as much as the return of Battlestar Galactica.

Just finished The Beans of Egypt, Maine. It's a little creepy. I have the author-dubbed "finished" version, with the author's afterword in which she protests that it is not a book about incest.

This is the worst cold I've had in years. My head feels like it's packed full of molasses. I also feel like I'm going to sneeze about half of the time, but only succeed in sneezing every couple of hours. The rest of the time I just have very watery eyes and a very runny nose. I have a blister on my hand from mopping/sweeping. After the dishes are done on Thursday, I resolve not to clean anything until Sunday. And there is no way in hell I'm going to the grocery store again for at least another week.

The Good Life's Black Out. Haven't listened to it for a while. It has its weak moments but there are some really good songs on there.

Do you ever do things that you *know* will end with you in a rage? Like reading the diocesan newspaper's voter's guide? But Colleen Kenney's writing style drives me bonkers. I think the subject matter of this piece offered some great potential for a new twist on the spunky survivor story. Kenney's freshman-year abstract writing style turned it into a run-of-the-mill piece instead of something... interesting.
