Things As They Are

One of the many advantages of seeing things as they are is that we can solve problems through observation and deduction. After all, how can we solve problems if we can't first clearly see what they are? And the best time to see them is in the beginning. Most major difficulties are caused by a failure to observe the minor difficulties that they ( Read more... )

i totally meant to post that part of the book.. i LOVED it..

i mean, we so often complain and get stressed over things, that in the end actually work out to our advantage. so why the fuck cant we just put faith in.. whatever (our god, kharma, whatever it is we believe in).. and go with the flow, see where it takes us.. usually to a much better place than we spend hours dreading.

The most amazing thing to me is that: I'd realize something and maybe talk to someone about it a little or make an update and then I'd turn around and I'd read it in The Te of Piglet. Like... it would be the next chapter. Such was the case with this. I had posted my entry about Coughlin's Laws and I posted the one about: "Anything else is always something better" and talking about how the things that society and teen fashion magazines tell you are "good" aren't necessarily and that you need to realize that you have everything you need to be happy already. That night I sat down and continued on in The Te of Piglet and read that part. It was such a validating feeling and assured me that this voyage of self discovery I've been on is still on the right track.

I love it.

I love this. This is all from the Te of Piglet? How is the Tao of Pooh? I have been slowly chipping away at the Tao Te Ching myself... very cool stuff. Thank you so much for sharing!

I am certainly not religious in the traditional sense, but I do have an underlying faith that everything happens for a reason, and everything is relative to everything else which makes it really hard to judge anything that happens... I just try to take things as they come. Some things seem to suck really bad, but it usually benefits me some how, or vice versa.

I hope you don't mind... but I think I will post this in my own journal. I added you as a friend... but you will quickly find that my entries are not nearly as deep, thoughtful, and inspiring as yours. Thanks for messaging me because I'm really enjoying your journal.
