Raine smiled waving at him from where she was seated on the floor in front of the coffee table where she was putting the final details on a wrapped present, done in black paper with white crows and tombstones on it.

"Grace is in the kitchen." Her voice was still quiet, but it was starting to come back at least.

Selene heard his bike out front and after slipping on a pair of heels with her pencil skirt, she looked like she was ready to head to the office. All part of her master plan. She could pull off a surprise when she wanted.

Rushing into the living room she looked in a rush. Putting in earrings with one hand while she fumbled to gather her keys she called out to Ashe, "Ashe! Love! I left my phone in the car....I'm running late for a meeting downtown." Because she is obviously a rotten woman who forgot his birthday, right? "Would you go grab it for me, please?"

She hurried off to the kitchen looking for something else. Waiting to hear the garage door open and reveal the gift sitting in under the glow of the florescent lights. Unable to decide on black or red she got them both.

They also had reservations for four at the best steakhouse in the state. The cake however had been lovingly prepared at home by Grace and Selene.

Ashe had been smirking when he saw Raine "I'm sure she is. The young cook she is becoming." He spoke proudly before seeing Selene come in in her rush he blinked a little and tried to not look bothered by it. "Yes of course my dearest." He spoke as he moved towards the kitchen's door to the garage instead of going back outside as he flipped on the light his jaw dropped. He had no idea what to say or do but stare. No way this was real. It was not possible. Yeah he's forgotten about her phone for a moment.

Grace caught the look and giggled at his reaction. "Okay now I'm wishing that I happened to have the camera with me for this."

She did glance at her presents for him figuring that she could wait on giving him them later. "Dad, forget her phone there?"
