How time flies.

It was strange for Ashe Corven to be living with such ease and being financially stable. Such things had not lasted long since he ran away from his parents in his later teens, outside of stays with his aunt Helena. His time in America had always been hard until he met Selene and everything seemed not only easier but better. It was amazing how ( Read more... )

Day in and day out her days and night started and ended much the same way. Dress clothes in the board room, latex on the battlefield. Everything was the same and different at the same time. Amongst the chaos that could sometimes be her work life she had stability, love and a family at home. Things she had never dreamed of having once she had fled Budapest all those years ago.

She came home at the end of the day to a dog nipping at her heels, a bird not far behind. A daughter studying. Ashe doing the dishes. The serenity of her life made the hard nights easier.

Getting home from a long day of meetings and calls she was dreading going out again. She didn't want to put on her latex suit and guns. As soon as she came through the door and spotted Ashe in the kitchen cleaning up all she wanted to do was enjoy his company. In whatever way she could.

Selene set down her phone and bag on the counter and smiled at him. Next she kicked off her shoes. "Let's drive down the coast and get fish tacos on the beach."

Ashe was still prone on bad nights to take the old Ducati down towards where he used to live and clean up a some of the rising problems. Even living far from there he had a knack for knowing when Drug dealers were trying to take Judah's old seat of power. His current calling was suppose to be protecting the city. but his family was coming first.

Hearing her keys set down he turned and offered a smile to Selene. "Welcome home dearest, and that doesn't sound all that bad. Do you want to change first or just head out?" Who needs shoes on the nicer beaches?

Stepping around the counter she stepped up to him and slipped her arms around his waist. Looking up she smiled softly and kissed his lips. "I want to be a normal person with you. So, yes, I will change. Jeans."

As prim and proper as she was all day coming home meant being herself. It meant jeans and stealing Ashe's tee shirts. Here in these walls she had no one to impress. That was a gift that had no price tag.

"Where are the girls? It is very....quiet."

He kissed her back, his own arms slipping around her shoulders to pull her closer during the kiss, when she pulled back and spoke he nodded a bit. "Wont hear me say a thing against it, you do look pretty fantastic in jeans." He added with a playful note to his tone.

And he did so love seeing her in his shirts, even some of the more busted up ones. It made him feel like things were really there and happening.

"Last they told me they were raiding thrift shops for necklaces. Their trying to make a home made chandler for Gavin's guest room."
