Hello! You don't know me; I'm the prompter of this prompt... servetolive February 2 2011, 19:31:49 UTC
... and literally screamed when I saw that you had posted this to d_t.

This was awesome. It was the exact combination of cute and terrifying that I was thinking about in regards to the prompt. I just adore how you've characterized Kukalaka as needy and co-dependent on "his Julian," and how you've drawn Julian almost equally imbalanced. (He's in his 30s and still has tea parties with his bear? Awesome.)

The ending shot chills through my heart. I have to say that I'm not 100% sure what happened... what is he about to do?! XD

I think my favorite part is when he starts hurting himself to get Julian to touch him. I just... there are no words; that's amazing. (Normally I would invoke Paris Hilton and say 'that's hot' but I dunno if that applies here.)

LOVE YOUR ICON <3

Yay, the original prompter! I'm glad you liked this. And yeah, Julian having a little tea party just sort of popped into my mind. I figure, hey, he has a sentient bear already, what's a tea party gonna hurt?

Heh, yeah, just made this icon because of the prompt. When I first saw this prompt I knew I had to claim it.^^

Ooh, and I love your icon, too.

That was chilling. Very disturbing. A story that's going to stay with me for a long time. Well done!

I loved this prompt and I love this story. It's so cloying and creepy and funny and warming and horrible. Self-harming teddy bears are just exactly what this fest ought to be about - and you pull it off so well!

Wow. When I first saw the summary I went: "That sounds a bit silly". But now? I'm effectively creeped out! That's great writing! *throws a wary glance at toddler's toys before clicking the link to the sequel*
