so on friday, one of my students walks up to me and says,
"ms dunn, i think u dropped ur name tag,"
and hands me a little pack of honey.

any suggestions as to how i should retaliate?

i think you should totally have acted like you didn't get it. like "oh... um, did i drop that? oh .. well ok thnx." and put it on your desk or something and ignored him. hehe
but since that moment is past, i would suggest acting like he has cooties now everytime he gets close to you.

I think you should bring a dum dum to class and give it to the child and say "no, I think YOU dropped YOUR name tag."
