[size=1]1. Because Ginny is the first girl introduced to him in the Wizarding world and received positive descriptions.
2. Because he willingly risked his life to save her from a 60 foot basilisk.
3. Because he didn't throw away her singing get well card.
4. Four words - Chocolate in the library!
5. Because he felt such a warm, sweeping, glorious relief at the notion that she won't get expelled.
6. Because when she was taken into the chamber, he says it was "the worst day of his life".
7. Quidditch - the couple that plays together, stays together.
8. Because JKR is leaving actual clues in the books.
9. Because Ginny has one-upped the beautiful, perfect Cho since book three.
10. Because JKR likes fairy tales, redheads and "weasels."
11. Because JKR says that Ginny is "languishing in love", when she knows Ginny is dating Michael at the time.
12. Because he didn't argue with Malfoy when he said that Harry had a girlfriend.

* the story frequently involves apparently healthy characters having an altered mental state due to chemical interference.
* a girl that JKR obviously loves and wants to portray as a good person has to be turned into a filthy slut.
* you'd rather see Harry end up dead or alone and miserable than with the girl he clearly still likes.
* you still can't get a clue after SIX books of anvil-sized hints.
* you think you're smarter than the author of the books which sold millions. . .
* and yet, you can't quite construct grammatically correct sentences.
* you have to change almost the entire series, just so your story fits in.
* you can't even decide how your makeshift story really goes
* some shippers who shipped something else become canon H/G shippers BEFORE book six. (Edited by Red Monster)
* you think Harry is in love with Hermione and is "dating" Ginny to make her jealous.
* harry contemplates his two best friends dating each other.
* you think the entire sixth book was just a dream.
* you think that the character's LI and best friend drugged him
* you think that there was no foreshadowing or build-up
* you need to argue that physical attraction is a bad thing.
* you continually find yourself specifying which textual stimuli "don't count."
* you think its horrid for a 16 year old boy to be a little horny around a pretty girl.
* the perpetrator/villain in your favorite "anti-theory" changes on a daily, or sometimes hourly, basis.
* your most commonly stated reason for disliking something is "It just sucks, OK?"
* the only pairing possible is the 'hero' gets the 'heroine'
* the only argument is "just cuz" or "she's annoying".
* entire sections of the book have to be rewritten to make this ship sink.
* you suggest that perhaps "teh interview of doom" was rigged and the information was changedto protect a ship. (Gotta love the logic)
* the series is 6/7 over, the latest book showed that Harry was smitten with Ginny, the author said they're worthy of each other and equals, and your shipping argument is, "We really don't know what will happen!"
* words like "ideal girl for Harry," and "gradual discovery" and "they are equals" and "they are worthy of each other," and "I didn't want Ginny to be the first girl Harry kissed," are ambiguous and deceptive.
* you insist that Harry not thinking his resolve would hold and being "miserable" after calling things off with Ginny means that at the end of HBP he was sick of her and dumped her without a second thought.
* you insist that a ship that has already been made canon had no buildup, ignoring any examples given, and your argument for your ship of choice is "H/G happened in one book with no buildup, so [insert ship here] can too!"
* you ignore the author's statement that this ship was in the works since the first book, and assume that a few pages of the couple being together is all the conclusion a ship developed from the start needs.
* you think that Harry never saying or thinking or reacting to anyone saying Ginny is pretty is negative, after Mr. Weasley said, "And that, boys, is why you should never go for looks alone!"
* your arguments against a ship are dependent on erroneous recollections of canon.
* you expect the author to spend half of the final book explaining away an "unimportant" and false relationship.
* you can¡¯t talk about H/G without reminding OCers of Vizzini the Sicilian from ¡®The Princess Bride.¡¯
* you have a temper tantrum when talking about H/G.
* multiple thousands of people, amounting to slightly over half the fandom, predicted a ship that you insist "came out of nowhere."
* you know the movies better than the books (teehee).
* one of the main reasons you ship your pair is because the actors who play them look good together.
* even your fellow shipmates have trouble relating to your eherm, "theories," to use the word loosely.
* most of your arguments contradict each other
* most of your arguments contradict canon
* most of your arguments fly in the face of literary structure
* all of your "theories" go against what the author says.
* suddenly the American cover and chapter illustrations of a British book published in dozens of countries, each with its own artist, is the true source of the secrets of canon shipping!
* you have to spend every waking moment poring over the books and interviews coming up with cockamamie reasons the shipping doesn't work, can't be true, isn't real, dammit!! Won't! Won't! Won't! la-la-la-la-la
* you ignore what the author has to say on the subject.
* you've resorted to using pictures as a reason to hate a ship.
* you truly believe that H/G is not here to stay.

[size=1]1. Because Ginny is the first girl introduced to him in the Wizarding world and received positive descriptions.
2. Because he willingly risked his life to save her from a 60 foot basilisk.
3. Because he didn't throw away her singing get well card.
4. Four words - Chocolate in the library!
5. Because he felt such a warm, sweeping, glorious relief at the notion that she won't get expelled.
6. Because when she was taken into the chamber, he says it was "the worst day of his life".
7. Quidditch - the couple that plays together, stays together.
8. Because JKR is leaving actual clues in the books.
9. Because Ginny has one-upped the beautiful, perfect Cho since book three.
10. Because JKR likes fairy tales, redheads and "weasels."
11. Because JKR says that Ginny is "languishing in love", when she knows Ginny is dating Michael at the time.

* the story frequently involves apparently healthy characters having an altered mental state due to chemical interference.
* a girl that JKR obviously loves and wants to portray as a good person has to be turned into a filthy slut.
* you'd rather see Harry end up dead or alone and miserable than with the girl he clearly still likes.
* you still can't get a clue after SIX books of anvil-sized hints.
* you think you're smarter than the author of the books which sold millions. . .
* and yet, you can't quite construct grammatically correct sentences.
* you have to change almost the entire series, just so your story fits in.
* you can't even decide how your makeshift story really goes
* some shippers who shipped something else become canon H/G shippers BEFORE book six. (Edited by Red Monster)
* you think Harry is in love with Hermione and is "dating" Ginny to make her jealous.
* harry contemplates his two best friends dating each other.
* you think the entire sixth book was just a dream.
* you think that the character's LI and best friend drugged him
* you think that there was no foreshadowing or build-up
* you need to argue that physical attraction is a bad thing.
* you continually find yourself specifying which textual stimuli "don't count."
* you think its horrid for a 16 year old boy to be a little horny around a pretty girl.
* the perpetrator/villain in your favorite "anti-theory" changes on a daily, or sometimes hourly, basis.
* your most commonly stated reason for disliking something is "It just sucks, OK?"
* the only pairing possible is the 'hero' gets the 'heroine'
* the only argument is "just cuz" or "she's annoying".
* entire sections of the book have to be rewritten to make this ship sink.
* you suggest that perhaps "teh interview of doom" was rigged and the information was changedto protect a ship. (Gotta love the logic)
* the series is 6/7 over, the latest book showed that Harry was smitten with Ginny, the author said they're worthy of each other and equals, and your shipping argument is, "We really don't know what will happen!"
* words like "ideal girl for Harry," and "gradual discovery" and "they are equals" and "they are worthy of each other," and "I didn't want Ginny to be the first girl Harry kissed," are ambiguous and deceptive.
* you insist that Harry not thinking his resolve would hold and being "miserable" after calling things off with Ginny means that at the end of HBP he was sick of her and dumped her without a second thought.
* you insist that a ship that has already been made canon had no buildup, ignoring any examples given, and your argument for your ship of choice is "H/G happened in one book with no buildup, so [insert ship here] can too!"
* you ignore the author's statement that this ship was in the works since the first book, and assume that a few pages of the couple being together is all the conclusion a ship developed from the start needs.
* you think that Harry never saying or thinking or reacting to anyone saying Ginny is pretty is negative, after Mr. Weasley said, "And that, boys, is why you should never go for looks alone!"
* your arguments against a ship are dependent on erroneous recollections of canon.
* you expect the author to spend half of the final book explaining away an "unimportant" and false relationship.
* you can¡¯t talk about H/G without reminding OCers of Vizzini the Sicilian from ¡®The Princess Bride.¡¯
* you have a temper tantrum when talking about H/G.
* multiple thousands of people, amounting to slightly over half the fandom, predicted a ship that you insist "came out of nowhere."
* you know the movies better than the books (teehee).
* one of the main reasons you ship your pair is because the actors who play them look good together.
* even your fellow shipmates have trouble relating to your eherm, "theories," to use the word loosely.
* most of your arguments contradict each other
* most of your arguments contradict canon
* most of your arguments fly in the face of literary structure
* all of your "theories" go against what the author says.
* suddenly the American cover and chapter illustrations of a British book published in dozens of countries, each with its own artist, is the true source of the secrets of canon shipping!
* you have to spend every waking moment poring over the books and interviews coming up with cockamamie reasons the shipping doesn't work, can't be true, isn't real, dammit!! Won't! Won't! Won't! la-la-la-la-la
* you ignore what the author has to say on the subject.
* you've resorted to using pictures as a reason to hate a ship.
* you truly believe that H/G is not here to stay.

How do they greet each other in the morning?
Think about your favourite period in history. Now put Harry and Ginny into it. Who are they, and how do they come together?
What kind of wild rumours are going around (presumably spread by Rita Skeeter) about the Potter-Weasley family?
Who freaked out more when they were expecting James?
What kind of decor would they favour?
How would they spend their Saturday afternoons (besides the obvious)?
Do you think H/G's relationship is filled with alot of arguments, or do you think that it's rather peaceful with an argument every now and then?
Who is more picky?
Who gives better gifts?
