[ Cloud's not looking at the video when it starts, instead focused on a nail that he strikes with a hammer. He glances at the video, confirming it's on, but he seems distracted or restless. ] Vincent. You're about the only one who'd stay quiet for long. If you're here, say something. [ Pound. Pound. Pound. .... ] Or...if any Houses have a

Lightning's room is on the floor below Cloud's, and though given the set-up here, some hideous annoyances are to be expected, when the woman enters the hallway, already in a bad mood, and hears it continuing on and on with no apparent end-- well, she's just annoyed enough that she decides to actually hunt and find its source.
Up the stairs she goes, two at a time, and then stomps her way down the seventh floor hall, ironically loud in her irritation. Will he be able to hear her knocking when she eventually comes to a decision over which door it must be coming from? Or will he require: ]
Hey!

--Oh. It's her.
Bad mood dialed all the way up again, he shoulders the nail bat and sharply yanks opens the door--not looking at Lightning's face at first but looking to see where her weapon is, if she has one.
Nothing apparent. Given that she was going on about a fight he's not relaxing just yet, but he does meet her eyes. ]
You can't let this go, huh?
Reply
Oh, it's him.
And he's got a weapon. At least, she thinks that's supposed to be a weapon, given his body language as he holds the thing. What is that thing?
.... Wait, huh? ]
What?
[ Give her an award, this girl is smooth. ]

Our "fight". [ Hear those quotation marks? Because he sure does not remember this fight. Not that he remembers a lot of things... He edges past her to step fully into the hallway. ] If we're finishing it, it'll be outside.

'Fight?' What fight?

Okay, in all honesty Cloud's had enough self-doubt over the past little while to wonder if the earlier conversation was his own head or Sephiroth's doing, which is kind of a terrifying prospect. The last thing he wants is to be goaded into attacking another person, and at Lightning's frank confusion he takes a step back. ]
But you...! [ no, no, no, no. His lips press thin, eyebrows knitting down even as the flick of his eyes gives away his agitation. She is different, she looks different... ] You were...covered in blood. Saying we had a fight to finish. It was just earlier tonight. [ He says it insistently--she has to remember this. He's not crazy.
That much. ]

That wasn't me. [ Her jaw clenches, teeth baring slightly in her own agitation, before forcing onward. ] I don't know what that is, but...
[ ... Seething goes here, complete with hands clenched at her sides. Being copied is not something she's swallowing well. ]

[ Besides the mess of blood. Still, if she knows what he's talking about--it's not in his head. It's a relief, and his grip on the nailbat relaxes. ]

[ Yeah, she knows it looks like her... but to be honest, she can't really say whether or not the copy actually acts like her too beyond being irritable or whatever.
No, the fact that fights are being picked is what really grabs her attention, far more important than arguing over appearances. Last thing she needs is random people thinking she wants them to try and duel her in the streets. She's not that riled up. ]

...I've got a question of my own. Are you from Gaia? She said things about people from my world. [ he had the impression you were from someplace different, given that "l'Cie/SOLDIER/AMP" mix-up. ]

... I've never heard of 'Gaia.' I'm from Cocoon.
[ That's just-- what? People from his world? So does that mean that is where the copy originated from or... what? Lightning's arms cross, trying to keep her cool despite the odd fiery feeling rising in her chest over this whole thing. ]
What'd she say?

I got called a "chaotic warrior". [ ...much like Lightning can't hear his capitalization of PLOT TERMS, Cloud has no idea Chaos is supposed to be a god. ] She said she was allied with a friend of mine, and thought I was the enemy. That we'd been in a fight... but I never saw anyone looking like you 'til I came here.
[ Obviously he's never worn a pink wig. He is keeping the part about being allies with Sephiroth to himself thank you. ]

Whether that's a human 'something' or otherwise remains to be seen. ]
Maybe- you've met but she looked different then.

It's a good thing he hasn't gotten to the part where they realize "Sephiroth" can shapeshift into others or he would have the worst ideas about dissidia Light. ]
You think it's some kind of disguise? But then... why you? [ Because Cloud is thinking a bit along the same lines--if it knows people from his world, then it must be from... so why copy someone from another world? Something's not adding up here. ]

[ But Snow had gone unrecognized, and... ]

...Maybe it has something to do with those other gods.
