[Naminé lingered one the fringes of the crowd, still and quiet as she watched everyone else. There were more people than she'd seen in her entire life put together just milling about in front of her, and that would have been jarring even if she hadn't already been unsettled by her abrupt arrival in the city. She wanted to ask someone, anyone, if what she'd been told was going on was actually, in fact, what was going on, but she wasn't quite certain where to start or who to ask. Even if she did find someone, would they have an answer? Much better, a truthful one? For the time being, she stayed put, one hand lightly holding on to the bracelet that still felt strange around her wrist. Those who were observant (or just happened to look at the right time) might have caught her staring.]

It's generally considered rude to stare at people. [ although sena sounds like she's actively making the effort to avoid being rude for once ] I'm used to it though so I suppose if you were going to stare at someone, you chose well enough!

Is there something wrong with your hand?

--! [Being addressed made Naminé jump, her mouth automatically forming a surprised 'o'.] Ah-- I-- I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. [Not that that stopped her from doing it. She looked a bit flustered for a moment, but was quickly distracted by the mention of her hand.] My...? [She glanced down at it, automatically removing her other hand's grip from the bracelet. Only after a moment did she realize why the other girl had asked that.] --Oh! Oh, no, nothing's wrong with it. [She hesitated briefly, then lifted the hand in question.] See? [No marks or anything.]

[ tilting her head to examine Naminé's hand ] Well it doesn't look like anything's wrong with it. [ a second of hesitation ] Are you sure? Ah--- I mean! You seem like you'd be the type to not want to trouble some random passerby even if there's something that's really wrong. [ stfu sena where did you get your penetrating insight from, months of playing videogames? ] Fine, I'll fix that! I'm Sena Kashiwazaki! [ holding out her hand ] See? Now I'm not a stranger! Maybe there's nothing wrong with your hand, but maybe there's something else you need help with. [ tucking her hair behind her ear ] Go on and just ask me! Troubling me isn't something you should worry about. I don't just talk to anyone you know!

[ ...and there ends the longest stretch of time she was able to go without being awful ]

[The fingers of her hand splayed outward just a bit further, as if they were as startled as she was to be so thoroughly inspected. Otherwise, she held very still, curiously watching herself be-- well, watched.] I-- I'm sure. [But she could really do nothing but blink and act a touch sheepish when she was described as looking like she didn't want to trouble anyone; had she really been so transparent? It was true, she didn't want to be a burden, but that applied to people she knew, too. Even so, she glanced down at the offered hand, then, after a brief hesitation, reached out to take it lightly, almost as if she expected it to fall apart if she touched it.] It's... nice to meet you, Sena? [She still felt a bit shellshocked - it had never been so easy to meet someone in the first place for her, and it delayed her reaction because she had to make an attempt to get her brain to catch up with what was going on.] I-- really, my hand isn't hurt. [She definitely looked and sounded sincere, but this time did not offer her hand for ( ... )
