[Even the slightest gaze is enough to make Akito pause, his other suddenly wary in their mind. The dark doesn't like being watched. The hunter is the one who does the watching, and Agito doesn't care to feel like prey.

Akito is the one who's out though, and he glances around, golden eye curious. Where is that coming from...? Wait. He peers at the shadows for a moment, tilting his head before he sees the man and blinks. That's...pretty impressive. Akito can see most things straight-off, but the man knows how to hide.

Since no doubt the other knows he's been seen, Akito walks a little closer, a little wary of one who hides in the shadow but mostly just curious] You do that very well, sir. [Polite, and definitely impressed. His other watches from their mind closely]

[ To continue to hide after he has been found is worthless. Aragorn steps out of the shadows, and it is quite an oddity that he has been able to hide so well. He is dressed is dark red, black vambraces with a white tree embroidered into the leather, and the colours are stark now in the light against the grey.

He tips his head. ]

Not well enough, if you are able to find me. [ A simple statement of fact. ]

[When he sees what the other is wearing, he's quite possibly even more impressed than before]

Mm, maybe. But it took me awhile to see you. Normally I can tell the instant someone's watching me. It's very hard to hide from me, so I know that you're still very good. [He offers a small smile. Even if it may be not well enough, it's still pretty damn good in his book]

[ Now that comment gets the slightest tilt of his head. ]

You look like no warrior that I have seen before.

[ Or any Elf, either. ]

[He smiles at that] I'm not. But my other is. [He lifts his hands and unties his eyepatch, taking it off. Right eye opens and slit pupil instantly focuses, almost cold compared to the warmth in the left eye, and definitely predatory.

Akito remains in control, even as Agito rises to inspect the man] Agito is the stronger one. We may be small, but he can take out anyone he cares to. [The tiniest bit proud of his other]

[ His 'other'. Aragorn looks at the boy carefully, and his head tips a little to the side. Here is something that he hasn't seen before in all of his travels, but this boy reminds him of Elladan and Elrohir, if the brothers are joined in one body rather than having two forms with one mind.

Strange, but he has seen stranger, and Aragorn only inclines his head. ]

A great warrior, then, to be able to fight so well with only one eye.

[He tucks the eyepatch into a pocket for now. Agito wants to look around a little anyway]

There are ways to compensate for only having one eye. [Here he smiles a little] Having two people to see what is going on. And being fast enough that targeting you is difficult. [Agito knows all about fighting with one eye, and Akito knows it. His other has never found it an issue in his life]

[ The boy reminds him of the warriors he had known as Thorongil; the corsairs and the men of Gondor both, all of whom are proud of their achievements and have a quick rejoinder for any perception of weakness.

He nods, nonetheless. ]

Have you left your weapons behind, or are your legs and hands the only weapons you need?

My weapons are my Air Treck. [He lifts one leg, glancing down as he taps the front wheel against the ground. For all they look like two-wheeled rollerblades, with serrated wheels and the way the one he's lifted suddenly activates, the wheels spinning quickly, they're obviously not all they seem to be] They're not as strong anymore, but I think I can fix them so they work properly again.

[ He's far less interested in how they can work as weapons than- ]

How do they move on their own?

There's a motor in the wheels. I can turn it on by pressing the sensor with my foot. [The sensor being inside the shoe of the thing]

[ Bliiiiiinks very slowly. ]

My apologies, for this seem to be yet something new that I don't understand.

What exactly is a 'motor', or a 'sensor'?

[...hooooo boy]

Hmm...I'm not sure how to explain, exactly. But a motor is a metallic object, made up of different parts. When it's turned on, all the parts move together and let the wheels turn. Kind of like how people are made up of parts, and all the parts work together to make the body run.

The sensor's another part, that can 'feel' pressure, like how you can feel when something's pressing on your hand when you hold it. When it feels that pressure, it turns the motor on.

[ Slowly... piecing things together... ]

It turns much like a water wheel, but you have trapped the movement of the water itself within something so small.

[ His lips curl slightly, and he tips his head into a small bow. ]

Your world has achieved great miracles indeed.
