[Oh? Akito notices that and walks over, curious] It's a hologram...how'd you make it do that? [Don't mind him, he's kind of waving his hand through it experimentally, the bracelet he's wearing rolling on his arm, the bead the same shade of olive as Merlin's]

Well, it'd be kinda boring if we knew everything, I think. Some of the fun is guessing it. And it gives us something to talk to other people about. I think that most people, if they knew what was going on, would just laze around and wait for other people to do it for them. That wouldn't help anyone.

It's not about fun or boredom. [Instead of relaxing, Merlin just looks more anxious.] I need to get home, not stay here and try to figure everything out.

[He won't deny he's curious, but Arthur and Camelot always come first.]

So do I, but...well, there's nothing really I can do to get home except help the gods with what they want. [He shrugs a little] So all I can do is go with whatever's ahead. The wind is still blowing...and so long as it is, I'm sure everyone will get home eventually. [Akito is optimistic to a fault]

[Merlin rubs at his face, going quiet for a second.] I've got a friend back home. He's always getting himself into trouble, and this time, I won't be there to protect him.

I can't stay here.

Then we'll just have to work really hard so everyone goes home really soon! I mean...it can't be too hard, really. [He's the kind of person who has emotions by the bucketload] And there would have to be a way to get people who need to get home earlier than others back.

"Can't be too hard"... [Merlin smiles wryly.] Let's just hope that's true.

[Knowing magic, and gods, as he does, though, Merlin has the sinking suspicion the situation's a lot more complicated than any of them think it is.]
