Do I go to the last Maelstrom?

OK, I'm overseas so getting there is a pain in the tucson, but still...

There was a time when I would have gladly hopped on a plane and travelled across the ocean to play. Now I'm ambivalent at best. Why? Because it's all so much hassle. Not just going back to England to larp, but the whole larping thing. The packing and unpacking, the travelling, ( Read more... )

Yes, getting there would be an extreme effort but you would regret it if you didn't go, and there'd be roughly 1,000 people in a field who would love to see you wearing gold paint and not a lot else just once more. Well, maybe not that many. But it would be awesome.

Do it! Please? There's the after party on Sunday night as well, so hopefully gooooood post-game decompression and froth time. And froth from many years, with no more FOIP... Should be splendid.

We are considering coming over in September (and putting Mr BabyCheeks in the care of Nanny and Granddad for a few days). It's just that your life complicates 100x with the addition of a baby. It shall be done.

He's not part of it, therefore it does not exist. It's some sort of weird boy-logic.

I'm part of a US larping community. I froth. I attend between-game gatherings. Ash is just being whiny.

Just catching up with LJ and going through your posts. If you wanted an excuse to come back to the UK and larp then Wastelander is fecking awesome! First game was this weekend and I've never seen so much excitement generated from an event. It's a larpsoft (airsoft based larp) based on the Fallout universe (but in the UK). It was a small turnout but it was effectively the playtest. I think you should find an excuse to come over here when one of the next ones are on. Especially so we can have a catch-up (and I can repay your kind hospitality back when you were living in the UK before). :D
