I love when theme's emerge in my life without me even actively pursuing them. This past week following the self-love focus I stumbled upon several blogs that talked about authenticity and acceptance. Also a dear friend of mine sent me an article about raising strong girls and how to empower them... I'll start with this example.

I love this entry. All the bold print you touched upon - I agree with. It's true, you become what you believe. I think people lead their lives this way too. A person who has a more positive belief system will find more positivity and better outcomes in their lives. Like attracts like.

When I discipline my son, I always use a positive approach to it. Instead of saying "You're being bad" I like to say something to the extent of, "Good boys don't act like that" or "I know you're a good boy, so show me". If I tell him he's bad, it's just like you said, he believes it and becomes it. He acts up more because that's who he thinks he is.

I love your dedication to yourself and embracing changes. Definitely a good thing on livejournal! Especially when many of the posts I read are so negative by nature. I know it's not a terrible thing, I do it myself since LJ is where I come to vent, hence the negativity. I just think your LJ is such a breath of fresh air! :)
