My exciting day so far....

Last night my grandmother called my mom crying and complaining about pain in her back.  Recently she had been diagnosed with a compression fracture in her spine and was doing various treatments and what not.  The only thing she refused to do is take any pain pill because she didn't like how she felt on the drugs.  We tell her that the pills could ( Read more... )

My GOD. I have seen people with pulmonary embolus die right before my very eyes. It's not a very pleasant experience. Thank GOD your grandma went to the hospital, and I'd say it's a very safe bet that she'll be fine with treatment. If it hasn't killed her before now, it's more than likely not going to.

Hang in there, and you and your family are in my thoughts.

Thanks! Everything seems to be doing ok except she pulled out her IV by mistake and of course bleed everywhere. Oh and she won't stop talking but that is how she normally is at all times. lol

My grandfather sat through a heart attack once. Nobody knew about it until he went into the hospital a week later.

Thank you very much. Poor mom. When gram gets nervous she just talks and talks and talks. I think mom is starting to bribe the doctors for sedatives.

ha ha! This is extra hard on your mom, I hope she lets herself get the rest she needs. She can't take care of your gramma if she's not taking care of herself.
