Houses - Home?

Justin and I went up to Royal Oak yesterday to look at some houses. This was our first trip up there so we were not expecting to really find our house.  We went to 8 or 9 properties some of which I had looked at online and some which our realtor had picked out for us.  A lot of the houses had most of what we were looking for and then something not

This is a home we will be looking to live in for the next 5 years.

The breakfast area is very small. That is it that you see in the tour. the kitchen is actually a lot bigger than our current one and it has counter space. I would prefer a really big kitchen but we just are not going to get that for the price. No pantry.

The back yard is fenced but it is chain link which I really don't like I would prefer something a little more private.

Chain link would still keep Kayli from wandering off, so it still sounds good to me!

Five years is not long in the world of home ownership. How long have you been in that apartment? Will you definitely move out in five years? Travis's parents bought their first house intending to move out in five years, and ended up being there for 30. They hated it the entire time. If that might happen to you, make sure you could stand it.

No pantry would drive me nuts. I like to stock up, and I like easy access to the stuff I buy. We didn't have a pantry in our other house, and it was all right because I hadn't been used to having one. I couldn't go back to it now, but it was ok.

love the family room. looks nice from outside. would miss the large kitchen...i now how much you enjoyed your big kitchen in bangor and i love have our kitchen dining room. but it is handy and poss for only 5 yrs. what's a pantry??!!
