Just to give you some warm fuzzies...

Just remember when the time comes, I'll be jumping at the bit to perform the ceremony. ;)

Honestly, though.. I wish people would just accept it as most people have other things.

But it takes time. There are still people out there who believe that desegregation was the worst thing to do for the schools.
There are still people who proclaim that 'whitey' is out to get them, etc..

Try not to let it get to you. They are obviously people who don't have a clue and wouldn't know it if they got hit with the Giant Clue Bat from Hell.
I grew teased because of my weight and height, and I took it as a badge of honor rather than a curse or a plague.
You are who you are and those of us who do love you love you for who you are and because of that.

Ah, Domo-kun icon! ~w00tles~

Thanks :D I'll let you know when the time comes (if it ever comes... gah!)

I know it takes time, but seriously... I guess I have a harder time with that kind of argument versus "You're a sin against God," to be honest. I mean, okay, so if homosexuality is a genetic defect that needs to be cured and/or eliminated, where do you draw the line from there? What if the majority decide that being black is a defect too? Or having blue eyes is a defect? Or being too tall, or too fat, or etc etc etc?

I mean, if it's such a big, glaring, unnatural flaw, it should have been bred out of us through the process of evolution, but it hasn't. We're still here, you know? It just - rawr.

RAWR.

That is all >_>

/hugs to the Antiwesley!

I know, I know, it just hit me at the wrong time, I think. You know I usually have a thicker skin than this. /sigh

So... I should start focusing on my toons on Proudmoore, lol. I'm thinking of doing a paid transfer for ex-Paine, after loading her up with some goldz, since they also have a GLBT Alliance side guild >_> Then maybe we can try to do some Neutral AH transferring of funds for our hordies?

No, I understand what that is like. Some days I can just call them all idiots and ignore the hate but same days it just cuts deep and truly hurts. BLECH

That sounds liek a plan. My highest character on that server is only level 16. Maybe I should focus on her for awhile.

The world is full of mean idiots. Those that argue on the premise of religion don't understand that outside of their particular premise, their arguments are nonsense. Those that make the same arguments based on their flawed understanding of science are not only spouting nonsense, but also empirically wrong, too.

As you noted, there are hundreds of species of animals that have been shown to exhibit homosexual behaviour, and there are some studies positing a societal advantage of one sort or another.

But it's all moot. Jerks will spew nonsense, and while I know it's discouraging, it's best if you can not let it get to you. It doesn't matter if they're claiming religion or bad science as their reason. I think people who feel the need to deride others are more of a cancer on society than anyone who's "sin" is simply to have different tastes.

Thanks. I normally don't get so riled up, but - it was just the bad day to read it.

Others posted on the site that science is showing that homosexuality is occurring in nature, and there may be benefits to it - and then the "scientist" that posted the original statements claimed that they don't apply to us because we're human, and those are just animals,a and you shouldn't link the two. WTF? I mean, seriously?

I'm glad that I have friends who accept me for who I am, and don't judge me for something that I really can't change about myself... (and yes, I've tried. Didn't really work out so well.)

In a few days I'll be back to my "LOLNICEMACESTUNBRO" nonsensical self, I'm sure :3
