Guys I need help. I've been having a lot of second thoughts about LA and it scares to me admit that I've even been feeling this way. I've been ignoring my feelings of doubt because I don't know what else I would do. It finally came out while talking to my parents yesterday and I just don't know if it's really what I'm suppose to do. My program is

ok. ashley, i know we talked about this a little last night.
but i was trying to think about your situation.
this is what i figure:
first, you will be there for 3 months and will complete your program.
if you hated it, remember... it was only 3 months, and you got something out of it, so it wasn't a complete waste.
second, you have gone to school in washington and realized you hated it. i don't think you can go wrong if you try something new.
third, you will be in california, no matter what, i think it will be fun.
and lastly, i think it would be a very good step for you. it's a big one, but i think it will help you grow a lot and maybe give you some sort of direction on where you should go next.
remember it's only three months. that's not very long at all! i think you deserve to do this.
okay, this was way too long, and i'm sorry.
seriously, i hope you find out what would be best for you.

I agree with Heather, it's only 3 months and you will be glad you did it, even if you decide it's not what you want to do. At least you'll know for sure either way and you won't have to wonder "what if". There was a reason you took an interest in it in the first place, so I'm sure what you're feeling is just last minute nerves because the reality is setting in. If you were going away for an entire school year, then that might be different. But 3 months? I think it will only do good for you!

You should talk to Jessie, she went to the Aveda Institute and loved it.

And for what it's worth, I think you should go to LA... leaving the state and moving someplace new completely changed my life (not to mention, the weather down that way just kicks ass). You'll never know if you don't try! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

well the selfish part of me wants you stay! i don't want my sister to leave me. even though you kind of already did, but this is SO much farther. but then again there IS disneyland...

the unselfish part of me thinks this would be such an amazing oppurtunity for you. you've lived in washington for so long and you hate it. LA will be so full of advernture...meeting new people, remembering new roads, getting a freaking esthetician certification! but you are very young and have alot of time to do things so...i don't know. sorry i 'm not really alot of help.

but i do love you and want you to do what's in your heart.
