This was a wonderful story. I love this particular incarnation of Spencer-as-parent. He's completely in character as a skeptic and scientist with a big warm fuzzy heart. The scene in Wal-Mart with Shirley had me grinning like the Cheshire cat. I want to meet her the next time I have to put together a gift basket...
