Last night was the Aids Candlelight Vigil. In 1985 there were 50 people there. Last night there were 2000+. I lost my first friend in 1981. It never gets easier.
Went to visit JC at Woodys for a Martini. With $10.00 in my pocket I thought I would drop by the Eagle for last call on my way home which is across the street from my house. Carlos the GM ( Read more... )

Happy Pride!
I'm sure you'll have a blast.

I wonder how many of those passes he handed out? And if you would have got one if you hadn't stopped by? Good fun!

What! the Eagle has home delivery to others and not me? Its nice to have the freedom of going whenever and back again without the line hassles. Kudos to them for thinking ahead this time around.

Oh, I don't know if they do or not, but Carlos has your number and you would think they would have had them ready for last weekend to hand out.

I wouldn't give them kudos for "thinking ahead"... we've been saying they need to do that for years! And that they should be going "dresscode" for Pride - which they still don't do.

Don't get me wrong though... I'm glad they did the passes and that you got one.

I wonder how many they made. And what their criteria for handing them out would be. Would I get one? Steve? Would the non-leather drunk that shows up 4 nights a week and spends lots of money and wears cologne get one?
