So, I guess it's time for an update.

We spent all of last weekend auditioning.  Saturday, we auditioned for TARTUFFE (I will playing Mme. Pernelle and I'm STOKED!), Sunday, we auditioned for One Acts, and Monday, we auditioned for Barter.  I had a great interview with Katy and now all I have to do is wait around to find out if I'll be going back in

Sarah and I saw "Doubt" today. We both liked it a lot, but didn't like the final line and accompanying acting. Is that how the play ends? Do you know of a link to a filmed version of the stage play or a way to get a DVD copy (if that exists)? I also didn't care too much for Amy Adams' performance (she never really changes movie to movie) and hope that Viola Davis's scenes grow on me more, but I liked her enough. Overall it came down to Hoffman and Streep going at it with that fine Shanley writing, and that worked for both of us.

Yeah, that's how the play ends. A lot of lines were added to the screenplay...when Hoffman says "What I may or may have not done is irrelevent - I have confessed my sins and leave them in the hands of my confessor" - or whatever he said - that's not in the play. That line threw us off big time because in the play, it's much more ambiguous as to whether or not he did anything. And I like that. It makes that final line a lot more important because you really don't know what to believe. I'm glad you liked it though :-)

sounds like you're havin a blast dowder. im so proud of u, truely. im glad that you're enjoying yourself and just gradually finding your path for the future. i admire it actually lol. i know you'll do amazing at grad auditions and my thoughts and "good acting vibes" will be with ya! also definately enjoy the time u have this semester and spend time with ppl as much as u can! for realzies! it goes by faster than ya think! anyway, im rambling--point is--i miss u--ur awesome--and im so proud of u--and i think u shud find a theatre/grad school near me--if u cud do that it wud be awesome...kthanks. lovelovelove.
