I love your icons, but I'm kind of an LJ dummy and don't know how to obtain and use them... how is it done?

Hey, no problem. I had to give Hyrum lessons the other day, too.

1. Right click and save the file to your computer somewhere.
2. Go to your LJ home page/profile, hover your mouse over Profile and click on Manage Userpics
3. Click the Browse button and locate the file on your computer.
4. Before you upload, be sure to enter keywords to identify the image so that when you're posting and entry, you have the option of using the new picture.
5. Click Submit.

Wa la! That's all there is to it. :)

Oh my God, I just tried to sqash the bug on your icon. LMAO...I thought it was on my screen. Brilliant icon!!!
